KIDDIES POSTURE & CORE STRENGTHENING CLASSES
Having good posture and core strength is a crucial component to the development of growing up. Unfortunately kids these days don’t get the right amount of physical activity due to the increase in modern technology. All of these are contributing factors to kids being overweight, having low muscle tone as well as having poor posture. These can lead to further complications later in life such as neck pain, lower back pain etc. Our classes are aimed at improving your child’s posture while performing fun activities. We perform 30-minute sessions with the kids. We bring all our own equipment and run the classes indoors or outdoors (weather permitting). Children participating in the classes will be in the safe care of a fully qualified biokineticist trained in first aid level 2.
MAIN TARGET AREAS:
Children with low Muscle Tone • Posture and Core Strengthening • General Fitness / Cardiovascular • Fine and Gross Motor Skills • Balance and Coordination
POSTURE KIDS AND VAN VUUREN BIOKINETICS HAVE DECIDED TO COLLABORATE WITH LITTLE FISHES SWIMMING SCHOOL.
One of the benefits of swimming for kids is that during cardiovascular activity, kids lung and heart condition significantly improves. And also, because of all the active movements included in swimming, kids develop strength and endurance. In addition, swimming enhances the flexibility and balance of the body.
Little Fishes has 33 years experience and are passionate about teaching and allowing children the ability to explore the wonders of water. They have aligned themselves with industry experts in swimming, biokinetics and occupational therapy to provide a truly world-class offering.
Every child needs to know how to swim in order to survive in and around water. Besides equipping children with a vital life skill, by enrolling them in swimming classes you will be greatly enhancing, promoting and improving their visual and auditory skills, general muscle tone, respiratory function, co-ordination, space awareness and bone density. Children who attend swimming lessons are being developed and stimulated beyond most of our expectations.
Our swimming programme is facilitated by Kate Wood.
